Vangelon RP's (WT, DC, MC)

Eon, would you like for Aeris to get into the fight by your own accord? I got through the majority of a post before realizing that (save for the tidbit in Dusk's post) Aeris hasn't actually fought yet. If not, then I can end this little stint of action now. Either way is fine by me. S'my turn so I can clip this post down so you can get a fight bit in after my go or I can just cut the fight here and save the rest for my next turn.

Thanks to school, Vangelon is consistently expanding into a larger universe than it was ever intended to be. I've gone and created yet another story within it. Working title: Superstar Fever. Will it be an RP? I doubt it. But just something of a development I figured was worth sharing. It occurs after the events of Wishful Thinking, Monster Control, and the Darklight Chronicles but before the events of Once Upon an End and the possible Wishful Thinking 3. In short, Vangelon is pretty much never not in peril. It looks peaceful at a glance but it is anything but, truthfully.

I may be miscounting, but I believe we're pushing 3 weeks, here.

Finals. I'm lucky if I can even work up the energy to check the sites I'm on. The month before them is actually worse than the week itself.

Amusing fact. At last count, the Vangelon Universe contains a total of 12 Stories spread across 7 "Franchises". They include Wishful Thinking, Wishful Thinking: Episode 0, Wishful Thinking 2, Wishful Thinking 3, Monster Control, The Darklight Chronicles, Superstar Fever, Superstar Fever 2, Once Upon an End, Once Upon an End 2, Dragon Deep (Working Title), and Technicolor (Working Title). Six of these I literally created and completed story outlines for in under a week. This is what happens when I get an abundance of free time. Thank you, Christmas.

When I say mastery, I mean mastery. Raes doesn't need any magic, powerful weapons or enchantments, or Norn artifacts. His skills combined with his peak athletic abilities for a human are enough to make him damn near unbeatable. His style focuses on shadowing his opponent and reading their moves, something he has mastered to the point that it seems like clairvoyance to anyone who is less experienced.

*History: Raes grew up as part of the Church, learning his craft from his father Dorian. Despite his priestly upbringing, he constantly maintained a distorted moral compass. In order to "cure" him of his distorted mentality, Dorian took Raes on missionary work to some of the worst and nastiest places in Vangelon, hoping that his work of bringing compassion and good will would teach him the "right way". Instead of helping him, Raes developed an addiction to the suffering of others. However, he dislikes that he "needs" it to function, and thus continues his priestly duties as a twisted form of penance. He's still an ass, but he does his job and does it well. His training is entirely of his own devising, seeing it as both a way to cause pain and a method to punish sinners; a double-victory in his book. He's just been keeping it up for his whole life and had a special knack for it. His aptitude for alchemy mainly manifests through his ability to make medicines and drugs, and his habit of drugging people's wine when he gives sermons. Or just because he wanted to.

So I just finished some of your Vangelon stuff and love the world and all the development involved in it. I also thought some of the ideas for other RP's are super promising. I have a question, actually more like three.

1) Would I be able to join this game? If so which group should I join?

2) Is Efreet destroyed Eonarashi? From your post it sounded it was currently under mass attack.

3) If that is the case and Ink allows me to join. Dusk can I take your mini character you had planned since I thought she was amazing and the role you planned for her doesn't work anymore since the city is being attacked. I'd hate to see the work you put into her go to waste and I love her so much so please. Pretty please with a cherry on top.

2) It is not. This is a relatively mild attack compared to what it could be and Efreet is sizable.  I kinda planned this out w/ Eon.

Yeah, it's more periodic monster attacks that make everyone scared and paranoid, plus some damage to the town. Raes just likes being an over-dramatic popinjay.

*Appearance(Image): Æthelinda boasts a very imposing visage. She stands just short of 9 ft. tall and weighs a massive 938 lbs. despite her appearance. She has very smooth looking skin with just the slight touch of a muscular frame underneath. Her washboard abs show just how powerful she is. Resting above them are the two boulders she calls her ample bosom, large enough to smother an adult male. She has two main style of outfits she wears. When at home and in happy conditions she wears her victorian style dresses. When on the road and needs to be prepared she wears her mostly black admirals outfit. The coat she lets hang open exposing her abs and the heavy belts overlapping and crisscrossing to cover her ample assets.

Hook and Sinker, a specially designed weapon she carries into combat. It comprises of a heavy old fashioned ship anchor attached with a 8ft. chain to a Large 7 ft. blade. This weapon weighs about 900 lbs.

Stacked deck, a pair of oversized double barreled shotguns. Æthelinda always had a fear for the unknown, mainly magic, so when she could finance a weapon created to help her deal with it she did. They don’t fire bullets so much as they fire gemstone dust flak into the air. She has specially crafted rounds made, then alchemically soaked, then enchanted with dispelling really anything that isn’t flesh and stone. When she fires them it creates a large cloud in which no magic, abilities or other things can have any effects until the gem dust settles (usually 3-5 minutes). A side note, these bullets must also undergo an enchantment while loaded, so these weapons are a one use wonder until they undergo the whole process again usually taking weeks to finish and load. Another side note, some people are so powerful they are only hindered by this stuff, so it’s not unbeatable, just very obnoxious to those of that high of power level.

*Skills: Fine Dining, Advanced etiquette, haggling, dancing, mining, hand to hand combat, armed combat, large caliber firearms, explosives, holding her breath and flexing.

Abilities:
Arms master.
Compared to her abilities slugging it out you give her a weapon and she is able to fight and deflect with the best of them. Although for some reason her bare fist is stronger than any weapon she may wield.
Perfect Stability.
Good luck knocking this ol’ girl down, with her immense weight, training and diamond plates you may have a better chance of taking down a mountain.
Diamond Plates.
Her skin is so rough it has been graded stronger than diamond, she is basically immune to most common type weapons due to their material makeup and is very resistant to almost all physical type attacks. Even bullets bounce off her unless high powered or extremely rare materials.
Advanced Roughage.
She is able to eat gemstones to gain temporary bonuses (bonus based on the type and size of gemstone).

*History: Æthelinda Tanis never really had a name until she found her way into the coastal harbor town of Newt Finnis. She wandered confused and worried through the streets as everyone eyed her, luckily she met a large heavy set human captain who spotted her build and size and invited her aboard his vessel as much needed muscle. Needless to say after proving her ability at sea she made her way to more refined cities, eventually she was drafted to join a battle against a massive serpent with large barbs for whiskers, it would use it’s latent abilities to take control of entire crews of men and wage wars against coastal cities. Victory after victory came with promotion after promotion while she cleaved a way to the creature, something in her kept her from becoming a thrul to it, probably because she herself was a monster. During a vital battle she gained her nickname Admiral Diamondsides. Right at the crucial moment of victory she walked in front of a telepathically launched cannonball to protect a friend. The crew was quite silent when she brushed it off as if someone tossed a small pebble at her, they then hollered with laughter as she picked up the cannonball and sent it right into one of the creatures eye sockets. Thus allowing the takedown of the serpent.

Now you may be asking, wait a minute, you said she was a monster but doesn’t seem like one at all, well here’s your answer. Before she had a name she was referred to as Nagaress, think of a massive tiger with nothing but diamond hard crocodile scales coating every inch and you have a pretty good picture of what she was. Her whole family was hunted down and killed for both their danger to the coastal town and also the fact that their hides could be sold for large fortunes of cash. Being the last of her kind she fought every day and grew stronger, faster and more powerful. Then one day a bounty hunter came, he was impressive. He fought with vigor she had never seen and right when she was about to die she struck a violent roar releasing her electric breath bringing him to his knees. In that moment she bit down with a crunch and swallowed him. Turns out he had been carrying a very powerful Norn artifact that had strange effects on Nagaress. Turning her into the stunning woman before you; and the rest is history.

OK, I read it. I did enjoy it. Especially the asset parts. And kudos to the inclusion of Gale. Quite amusing.

In terms of critiquing, try to find ways to visually break up some of those larger paragraphs. I know you organized it well, but for a web page, they are pushing it of large blocks of text. (Though the amount of detail is good).

I enjoy your verbiage but I don't see a clear difference in Gigantess and priest talking. The humor is fine, but keep aware of how your characters would phrase stuff (ie compare Hanbei to Gracia to Kraken)

Also, on the last note, the entire time you kept interrupting the priest's speech, I kept thinking he was about to have a poorly-timed death. Then I see nope, still alive, and being interrupted. Not sure what phrasing where caused that, but that's the impression that particular paragraph gave me.

That's all. Not trying to be harsh, just trying to mention all the details. Great start so far though.

Did a bit of reconfiguring.  Drastically shortened WT.  Managed to slice thirteen episodes out of Season 1 (making the rough count 26 episodes, as opposed to 39) by weaving plot points of some lesser episodes into more important episodes.  And getting rid of the 4 or 5 filler I had by alternating more frequently between K stories and Sabrina stories.  Season 2 is more or less where it was.  The rough count is 25 episodes.  Season 3 was combined with Season 4, trimming Season 3's episodes by about 10 and making the total count of the new third season roughly 26 episodes.  So, in total, Wishful Thinking is now roughly 77 Episodes in length, as opposed to nearly 100.

I also significantly retconned Sabrina's plot.  Most of that retcon luckily happens well after the point reached in the RP so that'd be easy enough to use.  But there is one noteworthy difference to her initial departure that I may or may not apply to the RP, just for consistency's sake.
